Dell launches low-priced Latitudes 1:00PM, Wednesday 9th March 2005
Pricing starts at just £399 (excluding VAT and delivery) for Dell's new entry-level notebook, the Latitude 110L.

Pitched at ordinary users who only require word processing, e-mail and Internet functionality - as opposed to video editing or high-end gaming, for example - the black cased machine weighs 2.87kg.

The technical spec for the 110L includes a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron M processors 350 or a 1.6GHz Pentium M processor 725, a choice of 14.1- or 15-inch XGA (1024 x 768) display, from 256MB to 1.28GB of SDRAM, a 30GB, 40GB or 60GB hard drive, and a 24X CD-ROM or choice of 8X DVD-ROM, 24X CD-RW/DVD combination and 8X DVD+/-RW4 optical drives.

For ports, there are USB 2.0 (x3), VGA, Ethernet, modem and headphone connections. Optionally, there is support for (Intel or Dell provided) 802.11b/g wireless networking. The installed OS is Windows XP (Home or Professional).

The notebook come with a one year collect and return service. More info can be found at www.dell.com/latitude.
